I am so sorry about the passing of "preach."  I knew him before he got married and after his marriage. He continued to interact with the youth of Church of God by Faith.  I saw him and his wife, Wanda and they looked beautiful.  I will keep his family in my prayers...I love you all.  Dr. Sherman Roberts, will be truly missed.

First Lady, I love you and Elder Roberts. You have no idea the impact both of you had on my life as a teenager and young adult. You welcomed me into your home. I looked at Elder Roberts like a farther figure in my young adult  years. Thank you First Lady, thank you for speaking life over me. Thank you for showing unconditional love towards me. That's the love that you and Elder Roberts demostrated towards myself and others. Thank you for the seeds you have sown. I'm forever grateful !  Love you!

I really am lost for words. I want to send my condolences to Lady Wanda and family. All I can say is that he was truly a man of God that I had the pleasure if meeting when I was about 11 years old in Newburgh, Ny at my grandparents house, little did I know he was to become my pastor the best that anybody could have done it. I often thought of him over the years so sorry I never got the chance to say goodbye, he'll always be in my heart.

To First Lady Wanda Roberts, You are in my thoughts and prayers during this time. I read your works in this guest book and I applaude you and celebrate with you. I too was married to my soul mate and when he transitioned home to be with the Lord I thanked God for the 14 years he allowed us to have together as husband and wife. I will continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers because I know what it feels like. God will sustain you and keep you as you continue this journey called life. To my sister Janice you are also in my thoughts and prayers I love you and will continue to lift you and your family in prayer. And remember earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

 Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
 Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
 That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
 God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

 It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

 God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not  be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

I am thankful to God for my loving Uncle Sherman, he taught me so much about God, family & life. I will miss our countless phone calls, conversations, visits and fish frys!! To my aunt Wanda THANK YOU for your kindness and being a wonderful wife and aunt. To my cousins continue you on in God and he will keep and guide you during this hour. I will forever cherish the memories my Uncle Sherman in my heart.

We were so deeply saddened and share in the loss of your husband. Dr. Roberts was such a distinguished man and had such a pleasing personality. He was so much fun to be around and we will miss his great wit and charm.  My husband and I have such fond memories of your husband from all the wonderful times we spent with the both of you. Your children are such strong examples of the great job that both of you did in raising them. Your children and grandchildren will always be a constant reminder of his love and influence on them. I am thankful to God to have had 34 years of marriage to my wonderful husband, Dr. Sherman L. Roberts.  God graced us with a love that was representative of Him..."unconditional."  God also graced us with three beautiful children Sherman II, Destiny and Fallon; four adorable grandchildren Trey, Xe'Riyah, Cadence and Sierra.  We accept God's will.  Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil to give you an expected end.  New Living Translation says, "For I know the plans I have for you," says the LORD.  "They are plans for good and not for disaster to give you a future and a hope..."  My husband is taking his rest.  No more pain or suffering, weakness or being tired.  He would always say to me, "Wan, I'm trying..."  Therefore God said, "Come unto me (Sherman), all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28)  

I will always be his wife.  He is my soul mate.  That's just the way it is....
