Thielo Duthiel Thermitus

Thielo Duthiel Thermitus was born on April 10th, 1976, in Gonaives, Haiti to Martha Charleron and Iliofet Thermitus. He attended both primary and secondary school in Gonaives, first Ecole Adler Volny then College Immaculee Conception. Thielo graduated from Centre D’etude.. in 1997 and enrolled at the University in Port-au-Prince for Ethnology; he always had a passion for connecting and appreciating people.

In 1999 Thielo moved to the United States and settled in Brooklyn, NY then Long Island where he had been living for over a decade. Thielo had been working as an essential worker in Long Island before his passing. It always made sense that he went into the nursing field as his passion is for caring for others and uplifting everyone he encountered.

From his first marriage to Guerline Jean-Louis, three children were born: Gabb’NDuthiel, M’Gia and Duthymine Thermitus. Later in his life, Thielo had two more children with Christa Lablanche: Chris’lee Duthiel Thielo and Christa M’Duthielle Tahmira Thermitus. Thielo was a kind, fun and caring soul who saw the best in everyone and never lost sight of the people he loved. He was an amazing father who always made time to dance with his children and let them know they were loved. He departed this life on Wednesday, October 20th 2021 in Deerpark, NY.

Thielo is preceded in death by his parents and two of his older siblings: Milioder and Laurette Thermitus. He is survived by his other siblings Ludrick, Kercy, Mirtha and Rachelle. Thielo is also survived by his cousins, in-laws, and a host of nieces and nephews.

The Dumay, Exantus, Charleron, Millien, and Casimir Families are also affected by his death.
