Born April 7, 1914 in Newark, New Jersey to Wladyslaw "Walter" Malecki and Rozalia "Rose" Sikora. Husband of the late Adele Niesmertelny. Brother of the late Edward, the late Helyn, and Paul of Toms River, New Jersey. Father of Barbara (Joseph) Hock, Arlene (the late William) Limpert, Jane (Richard Fielder), Alan (Terry) and Audrey (John) Applegate. Grandfather of Debra, Susan, Bill, Christine, Keith, Tracy, Robert, and the late Eric. Great-grandfather of 16. Great-great grandfather of 4.
As a young man during the Great Depression, Bill served his country as a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps Company 1485 stationed in Alabama. As a industrious and talented sheet metal worker, he was a member of Secaucus, New Jersey's Local. He moved to Boca Raton with his wife of 57 years in 1979. His propensity for activity kept him busy playing golf, working odd jobs, entertaining his visiting grandchildren, and learning to play music. Bill's stories of his youthful adventures were always accompanied by wonder and laughter. He was blessed to celebrate his 100th birthday last year with family and many friends. His warmth, laugh, zest for life and gentleness will be missed by all who were blessed to know him.
Memorial Service will be Thursday, January 28 at 11:30am at Kraeer Funeral Home, 1199 E Sample Rd, Pompano Beach, FL 33064. Condolences may be offered at www.KraeerDeerfieldBeach.com.
