Dear Family of Gloria, 
I have just heard the news of Gloria’s passing and wanted to extend my sympathies on the loss of your family member. 
I was a brand new teacher at Riverdale Elementary when I met Gloria. She was my saving grace to help me learn the ropes of being a special education teacher and was such a sweet, friendly and giving lady. When the district moved into one building in 1977, she and I were directly across the hall from each other at the very end of the farthest hall from the center of the school so we became good friends. When she retired, we lost contact but I will always remember her as someone who always extended a helping hand and a listening ear. 
I hope she had a wonderful life in the years after retirement and can imagine the joy she has brought to her family throughout her life.
