I am grateful that I got to know Steve and call him my friend. A sweet and generous soul with a great smile. He will be missed.

Carol, know that the memories of him that you hold inside will be yours forever - memories that even the passage of time will not diminish.

We will miss you Steve you are gone too soon.



May all who love Steve know that his  sweet spirit is in the hands of the just and merciful God. Furthermore, he is "not in a better place", rather he is in "the best place"! My high school friend has gone to heaven.

We are standing on a dock next to a great ship.
As he leaves the dock, we feel a great sense of loss, 
for he is a great ship. 
As we watch the ship sail away, 
he gets smaller and smaller against the horizon. 
Eventually, the ship disappears, and someone behind us says, 
"There! he's  gone!” 

But, as someone says “he's gone!”, on the other side of the horizon, someone says.

"There! He comes!" 

And that is dying.
