Beloved husband of the late Doris for 45 years, cherished father of Kate, Eileen and the late Tommy and the late John. Proud grandfather of Brendan, daughter-in-law Diana Tobin, great-grandfather of Sofia and Thomas Tobin.
He was born in Brooklyn, NY and served his country in the US Navy. He then went on to become the owner and home furnishing executive in Bay Ridge Brooklyn, NY and Deerfield Beach, FL where he ran Nielsen Furniture, a very successful family business, for decades. His customers loved him!
He was a member of the Deerfield Beach Rotary Club and recipient of the Paul Harris Scholarship.
He was a long time member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Lighthouse Point, FL.
Visitation Wednesday March 6, 2019, 5PM-8PM. Funeral Mass will be Thursday March 7, 2019, 9:30AM at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 2700 NE 36th Street, Lighthouse Point, FL.
Burial will take place on Monday March 11, 2019, 11AM at St. Charles Cemetery, Pinelawn, NY.
