One of the memories of Tom I have is him sitting out front of the house and waving hi to me when I was either leaving for work or getting home from work.  He never said no if you wanted to come over and sit down to talk.   He was always growing something in the garden and the pigeons or lizards were never afraid of him.   He was a gentle soul and I will miss him greatly.
