I know how often I took you for granted
when I was growing up.
I always assumed you'd be there
when I needed you...
and you always were.
But I never really thought about what that meant
till I got older and began to realize
how often your time and energy were devoted to me.
so now, for all the times I didn't say it before,
thank you, Mom.... I love you so very much!

God sent an angel to this earth,
I called you Mother who raised me from birth.
You listened to me through laughter and tears,
and were there for me for so many years.

Now what can I do, Oh, what can I say?
For God has taken my angel away.
To spread your wings far above,
to fill the sky with your beautiful love.

The most giving woman I've ever known,
but now our Lord has called you home.
A life eternal in His loving care,
by His grace one day I'll see you there.

Goodbye for now, Mom, until we meet again;
My angel, my mother, and my best friend.

How did you find the energy, Mom
To do all the things you did,
To be teacher, nurse and counselor
To me, when I was a kid.


How did you do it all, Mom,
Be a chauffeur, cook and friend,
Yet find time to be a playmate,
I just can't comprehend.


I see now it was love, Mom
That made you come whenever I'd call,
Your inexhaustible love, Mom
And I thank you for it all.

She was there at the beginning
When the world was new to you -
She was there to turn to happy times
Those when, you were hurt or blue.

She was there to listen to your thoughts
And when you asked, to give advice -
She was there to tell you, "Those don't match!"
Or, "Hon, you sure look nice."

She was there with you at nighttime
To help you say your prayers _
She was there to tell you, "It's alright."
When you had a dream that scares.

She was there at morning time
To get you up and out of bed -
She was there when you didn't feel good (or did)
To say, "You'd best stay home, instead."

She was there when you were hungry
And when you had those dirty clothes -
She was there when you needed her
(How she knew? Only heaven knows.)

She was there at the beginning
And she'll be there your whole life through -
She'll be there in your mind and heart
Just like a mother is supposed to do.

Mom, you were a wonderful mother,
So gentle, yet so strong.
The many ways you showed you care
Always made me feel I belong.


You were patient when I was foolish;
You gave guidance when I asked;
It seems you could do most anything;
You were the master of every task.


You were a dependable source of comfort;
You were my cushion when I fall.
You helped in times of trouble;
You supported me whenever I call.


I love you more than you know;
You have my total respect.
If I had my choice of mothers,
You'd be the one I'd select!

When You Thought I Wasn't Looking
When you thought I wasn't looking,
I saw you hang my first painting on the refrigerator,
and I wanted to paint another one.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you feed a stray cat,
and I thought it was good to be kind to animals.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you make my favorite cake for me,
and I knew that little things are special things.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I heard you say a prayer,
and I believed there is a God I could always talk to.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I felt you kiss me goodnight,
and I felt loved.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw tears come from your eyes,
and I learned that sometimes things hurt, but it's all right to cry.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw that you cared
and I wanted to be everything that I could be.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I looked...
and wanted to say thanks for all the things
I saw when you thought I wasn't looking.

i cant begin to tell you how much you mean to me and how much i love you... you will always have a special place in my heart and i know you know that!!! you are and always will be missed... but never forgotten i love you so much grandma...

the care you've given,

Dear Mom, I said a prayer for you
to thank the Lord above
For blessing me with a lifetime
of your tenderhearted love. 

I thanked God for the caring
you've shown me through the years,
For the closeness we've enjoyed
in time of laughter and of tears. 

And so, I thank you from the heart
for all you've done for me
And I bless the Lord for giving me
the best mother there could be

There are times only when a Mother's love
Can understand our tears,
Can soothe our disappointments
And calm all our fears.

There are times when only a Mother's Love
Can share the joy we feel
When something we've dreamed about
Quite suddenly is real.

There are times when only a Mother's faith

For a Mother's heart and a Mother's faith

And sent from God above...

Ada was a wonderful lady and a great Christian example.  She was also fun to be around.  We will miss her so much.

I will miss my grandmother.  She was loved by everyone who knew her and she was instrumental in introducing many to the gospel.  Her gentleness, her smile, and attitude about the life was always an encouragement to me.  She embodied the woman described in Proverbs 31.

She is now with the angels! What a dear and precious lady to have known. May God comfort all of you with precious memories of happier times you spent together here on earth as you look toward spending eternity with her.

Thank you, dear Ada, for all your kind words through the years.  I am thankful I grew to adulthood around you and many other fine Christians at Ridgecrest Church of Christ.  Though I am sad, I know you are rejoicing in the presence of the Lord.

My mother passed away on my birthday.  It is not everyone that can get an angel for their birthday.
I will miss you Mom.  Your guidance, wisdom and love will always be with me.

What a wonderful woman.  Bless you all and know that I am thinking of you all during this time of sadness.  Bless you all.

Bob, Robert and Ronald,
You will never know the impact such a tiny lady had on me.  She was always beaming with a quick spunky comeback.  She made me feel loved and special.  I would go to church and look for her just to hug her neck and see her twinkling eyes and onry smile knowing that she was the sweetest and kindess person anybody could have the good fortune to know.  God bless you all and hold you dearly during the time of great pain and sorrow.  He will take your pain and make it different but it will never go away so know that he will make it better in time.  Just think she is smiling and laughing and showing  her kindness in another relm now.  Bless you all and I love all of you.

I was just thinking about Ada a few days ago. I am deeply sorry to hear that she has passed on, but I am thrilled to know that she is in Heaven today. Ada touched many lives and will be remembered as a shining example of a Godly woman.

i will very much miss you as will a lot of other brothers and sisters that you have touched with your kindness and helping spirit.

Just to have known her and see her smile.
She will missed by a thousand here, and welcomed by millions in heaven.

Heaven now holds one more marvelous reason to be there with our Lord, Ada, Lois, Hugo, Max, and so wonderful others who have been a blessing to me. Kirk

I'm so happy to have known sweet Ada.  What a wonderful Christian lady and amazing example to us all she was!  Her faithfulness to Christ and kind gentle spirit was an inspiration.  Looking forward to seeing her again in Heaven!
