Anna Marie Karban, 90, of Del City, Oklahoma, passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at home. Anna was born on January 27, 1932 in Orienta, Oklahoma to John P. and Lydia (Janzen) Nickel. She attended Orienta and Enid public schools. She married Jerry M. Karban in 1951 and lived most of her life in Del City, Oklahoma. Anna worked for Luby’s Cafeteria and TG&Y but spent most of her life as a homemaker and mother raising her two children, Vickie Ann and Jerry Lynn. She enjoyed talking with other people, sewing in her younger years and just being on the go. She always demonstrated great patience and consideration of other people.
Anna is preceded in death by her parents, John P. and Lydia Nickel; brothers, Allen and Andy Nickel; and sisters, Evelyn Buller and Vera Cook.
She is survived by her children, Vickie and Jerry; sister, Bonnie Rader of Edmond; and three grandsons, Jerry Edward, David Wayne, and Steven Allen Karban, their wives and children.
Their family would like to acknowledge the people of Heartland Hospice and Homecare who assisted her in her final days.
Anna was greatly loved and cared for and will be greatly missed.
