Audrey has always been active in events that make a difference in the life of children as well as the community. I was a team leader in community youth sports groups, homeroom mother at my children's schools, a cub scout leader for the (BSA) Boy Scouts of America. I taught religious education for my church youths. Professionally I was an Adminsitrative Assitant from 1992 - 2008. When an automobile accident ended my career, TJ encouraged me to get into the internet radio business with him. With great pride I supported LBC Country Now behind the scenes, helped to build Fishing Country Now and developed Cowgirl Divas Radio. How Cowgirl Divas got it's name: While still DJing solely for TJ on Fishing Country Now ~ I had cyber theme parties in a tagged.com Pets Game Players Group. There I met Cathy, and we had fun for several years. She was and is one of my dearest Sister-Friends. In her honor I named my station after her group - Cowgirl Divas.

"Oklahoma Angel" I had Known TJ for many years when I went to Michigan. Before that time I had put in many long hours creating bulletins, graphics and audio clips to support him on the air. We became the bestest of friends and partners. I did a lot of talent scouting finding new artists for the station and just helping however I could. He gave me the name DJ Audrey the Oklahoma Angel and it has stuck with me ever since.

Audrey Ann King was born July 29, 1956 to Robert Lee King and Anna Mary King (Hays) in Oklahoma City, OK. She went to start her eternal life with the Lord on January 8, 2015. Many people knew Audrey as the Oklahoma Angel and knew of the on line radio she ran, CowgirlDivasRadio. She had helped so many people with their start in the music industry by placing their music on her website. Music was her passion and she shared it with the world. Audrey was the sweetest individual you could know. She was so tiny and yet had the biggest personality; her strength and smile will be remembered forever. One of Audrey's trade marks was her purple cowgirl hat, she absolutely loved the color purple and she loved that hat. Audrey was surrounded my many friends and family, and she had such a love a pride when came to them. She also had great pride in her culture, you see Audrey was Cherokee and Choctaw and identified herself as such. Audrey is a shining star that will never be forgotten. Audrey is preceded in death by her parents; and her brother Roy King. She survived by the love of her life, Tom Flaton; her children: Damon Carness and wife Julie Ann, Brian Carness and wife Courtney, Dawn Pollard and husband Jason, and Anthony Carness and wife Heather; her siblings: David King and wife Karyn, Lucy Bennett, and Greg Gaither, Bobby King and wife Rita, and John King and wife Sandra; six grandchildren; many other family members and friends.
