David retired from the U.S. Air Force as Msgt. in 1992. After retirement, he continued to work at Tinker as a B2 logistics specialist. He served his country in Vietnam and throughout his career was stationed in Guam, Thailand, Germany and England. David served many TDYs during his military career. He was a very active member in the Sunny Lane United Methodist Church serving on numerous committees. David loved gardening, yard work and traveling with his family.
Survivors include his loving wife of 41 years, Darlene; daughters, Jennifer and Kimberly Shaw; sisters, Marie Thomas and Liz Whisman.
The family has asked that memorial donations can be made to the Sunny Lane United Methodist Church or to the American Cancer Society. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 21, 2011 at the Sunny Lane United Methodist Church. Arrangements under the direction of Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, Del City, OK.
