

He was born on April 20, 1960, to Marion and Anna Begarek of Del City, Oklahoma
Don attended Del City High School and was also in the Del City High School band where he won the John Phillips Souza band award.
He married Lori Nail on August 22, 1988, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. They had 3 children, Lacy Rae Ainsworth, Kylie Amanda Guzman and Gage Begarek.
He worked in the boating industry most of his life starting in sales for Andy’s Marine in Moore, Oklahoma, then started his own boat business, Don’s Marine, in Midwest City. Ending his boating career working for Tracker Marine at Bass Pro Shops in OKC.
Don loved going to fishing tournaments wherever they had them, many times driving quite a few miles. He enjoyed making home improvements, especially working with wood in his shop, and creating custom signage for people. OU football and Thunder basketball were his two favorite teams. Food was a passion of his to the point that you could classify him as a foodie. He knew every restaurant that he had ever eaten at and was even able to recall the year.
Don is survived by his wife, Lori Begarek; three children, Lacy Rae, Kylie Amanda and Gage Allen; grandchildren, Chase Ogden, Dane Beck, Aria Beck and Gia Guzman.
He was predeceased by his parents, Marion and Anna Begarek.
Visitation will start on Thursday April 12, at 8:30 a.m. at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home at Sunny Lane Cemetery, 4000 SE 29th St, Del City, Ok.
Funeral service will be officiated by Dude Youngblood beginning at 10:00 am.
Interment will follow for family only, at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
The pallbearers will be Gage Begarek, Chase Ogden, Dane Beck, Joseph Guzman, Josh Colley, and Tyler Hinman.
