

Donna Sue Ash passed away at home on February 27, 2024, at the age of 71. She was born in Hoisington, Kansas, on May 15, 1952, to parents Marion Leroy Burris and Helen Lucille Burris (Flott). Donna married the love of her life, Pete Ray Ash. She graduated high school, then went on to pursue a degree in nursing. Donna retired as the general manager of Golden Corral after 30 years. She had a love for crocheting, crafts, and playing bingo.
Donna was a proud Girl Scout, where she had the honor to serve as a Brownie Girl Scout Leader, a Junior Assistant Girl Scout Leader, and a Service Unit Girl Scout Manager.
She loved being a mother to her daughters as well as a grandma to her grandchildren. Donna was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church and Hoisington High School's class of 1970.
Donna is preceded in death by her husband, Pete Ray Ash, and parents, Marion Leroy Burris and Helen Lucille Burris (Flott).
She is survived by her daughters Tammy R. Dixon (Mitchell Dixon) of Blanchard, Oklahoma; Miriam D. Parsons (Robert Parsons) of Norman, Oklahoma; and Jewell B. Ash (Ryan Wyant) of Chickasha, Oklahoma; brothers Tom Burris (Susan Burris) of Riverside, Missouri; Mark Burris (Sonja Burris) of Ruston, Louisiana; and Troy Burris (Cindy Burris) of Hoisington, Kansas; sisters Kathy Burke (Ed Burke) of Antelope, California; and Kerry Underwood (Pat Underwood) of Blanchard, Oklahoma; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 8 nieces; 4 nephews; and many family members from the Burris/Flott side.
Donna was a very loving and caring mother. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Donna always had a smile, even at the very end. We love you, and we will see you again soon—Tammy, Miriam, and Betty.
