She was born on September 5, 1931, to Ted Blackburn and Elsie Alice Rouse Blackburn in London, England.
Elena loved working as a nurse at Tinker Air Force Base, and later as a supply specialist until her retirement in 1998.
Elena loved to help her neighbors and family. She was an avid knitter. She loved to knit things and give them away to all she met.
She is survived by her husband, Dale R. Langley; daughters, Linda C. Thomas and husband, Paul, and Maria R. Stiles; grandchildren, Christopher Stiles and wife Colleen, Stasha Howard and husband Bryan, Michael Stiles and wife Sandra, Tony Thomas and wife Joanni, and Brett Thomas and wife Andrea; great-grandchildren, Koby Howard, Dylan Howard, Ayden Howard, Trevor Howard, Brandt Howard, Sydney Stiles, Hayden Stiles, Holden Stiles, Ace Stiles, Corbin Stiles, Fynnley Thomas, Archer Thomas, Keenan Thomas, and Kinzlee Thomas; her sister, Shirley Garrett and her son Craig Gilkes and wife Kathryn of Banbury, England.
Elena was preceded in death by her parents, Ted Blackburn and Elsie Alice Rouse; sisters, Jane Coleman and Jennifer Gomilar.
A funeral service for Elena will be held Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, 4000 SE 29th Street, Del City, OK 73115. Burial will be at 1:00 PM at Arlington Memory Gardens, 3400 N Midwest Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK 73141.
