October 5,2021 to December 30,2021
Ellie Mae was born at OU Children’s Hospital on October 5,2021 to Cambree Lackas and Mateo Hernandez. She came into this world with a purpose. She has changed many people lives, especially the ones that had the opportunity to hear her journey and meet her. She had so much strength, courage and wisdom beyond her time. She was full of attitude and personality. When you held her you knew she had a heart of gold and so much spunk. Her rough journey started when she was in the womb at just 19 weeks when her parents received the news that she was diagnosed with trisomy 18 and told that the world would never get the chance to meet her. Her wisdom stepped in to prove them wrong, that this was her story to tell. When she was born through emergency csection at 4 pounds 13ounces, she fought her way off a ventilator, went through a scary surgery to get a G-tube placed and shocked all of her doctors. She then was able to break her way out of NICU with only a short 19 day stay. She made it home where she met her family whom showed her just how much she was cherished and loved. She put up with a long hard fight, going through so many difficult challenges until she decided she was ready to go home. December 30,2021 she decided that heaven was where she was ready to belong too. Where she left her parents, grand parents, great grand parents, great great grandparents aunts, uncles, cousins, her best friend Amani Jackson (aka Bibble), many more. The lord gained a spunky personality, strong, and beautiful baby girl. She impacted so many lives, in so many inspiring ways, with the limited amount of time she was here on this earth. She may be in heaven now but her legacy will live on in all of us for the rest of our lives. It’s never good bye it’s always until we meet again. Fly high our sweet Queen ! You will always be in our hearts and will be missed. Until we meet again beautiful Angel!
