Evelyn Jane Burns, born October 24, 1938, passed away April 23, 2009, at the age of 70. Jane, the daughter of a farmer, was born in Earth, Texas. As an adult she quickly became a city girl. From smooth sailing and rocky roads our mother dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren. She is survived by 1 daughter, Sue Shefko; 6 sons, Don Harvey, Rick Harvey, Eddie Harvey, Craig Payne, Stanley Burns and Chuck Burns; 1 brother, Loran Thomas; 3 sisters, Nannett Williams, Doris Denham, Peggy Boyd; 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Erma Thomas, 2 brothers, Roland Thomas and Glen Thomas; 3 sisters, Kathleen Casler, Aline Stephenson and Judy Prickett; and 2 sons, Jimmy Harvey and Jimmy Burns, Jr. Her funeral service will be at 2:00 pm, Monday, April 27, 2009 at Sunny Lane Chapel with interment following at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
