Dillard High school in Goldsboro, North Carolina. He attended A&T before joining the Air Force. After 4
years in the Air Force, he decided to make it a career. Freddie served diligently for 27 years, and 5
months. He retired from Little Rock AFB as a Chief Master Sergeant.
While stationed at Scott Air Force Base in lllinois, he met and fell in love with Shirley. The two became a
union. Years later they moved to Oklahoma City OK, where Freddie began his career with the United
postal Service. He retired from the Postal Service and worked for PMI a contractor at Tinker AFB before
ending his work career.
Everyone that met Freddie, loved him. He was always positive, upbeat, happy, and easy going. He
shared lots of conversations with friends and family about sports and war stories. lt was always a
pleasure to be in his company. He was a good role model and family man and he loved the Lord. As a
little boy his dad would take him door to door as his Dad did his Jehovovial Witness. Later after moving
to Oklahoma City, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior
Freddie was preceded in death by his dad, Freddie Sr, his daughter, Vonetta Burden and his mother
Bettie.
He leave to cherish his memories to his devoted Wife, Shirley. His sons, Marlon Thompson, Oklahoma
City; Kenya Holt, Little Elm, Texas. Two uncles Ted Jordan (Linda), Goldsboro North Carolina and George
Ray Jordan, South Carolina. A special adopted son Rodney Bell, Oklahoma City. 16 grandchildren, 4
great grandchildren, brother-in-law, Frederick Thompson, and a host of friends and family.
