

Neal worked for Boeing, and later for TAFB from which he retired in 2008. He became a world traveler, visiting 98 countries, while serving 35 years in the U.S. Air Force. He retired as a MSgt from the 507th Reservist Wing in 2003. Neal had a love for planes, but especially the fighter jets that he worked on including the F-105, F-4 Phantom, and the F-16. Neal loved to tell stories of his travels and the planes he worked on. He loved to listen to Elvis, The Beatles, and the Rolling Stones. He loved being around his family and friends, was an avid OU fan, and enjoyed the casino scene, especially playing craps, all over the world. Neal had a witty sense of humor and a contagious smile that could light up any room.
Neal is preceded in death by his parents; step-father, A.J. Shook; niece, Vicki Pritner; nephew, Ricky Blake, and brother-in-law, Bob Blake. Survivors include his first wife Pat, and their children, George (Chandra), Katherine (Matt), and Kelly (Gene); his wife of 27 years, Glenda; their daughter Lara (Benjamin); Glenda’s son, Shawn (Candice); grandchildren, Kayla, Allen, Chelsey, Olivia, Lucas, Nicole, Hal, Neal, Alyssa, Gage, Ethan, Alexander, and soon-to-be J.A. Garvin; great-grandchildren, Hawthorne and Curren; sister, Donna Fackrell; step-brother, Butch Shook; special cousin, James Nelson; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, June, 20, 2016 at Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel in Del City. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel with interment to follow at Blackburn Cemetery Norman, OK.
