Grady “Johnny” Leon Rayburn, 88, passed away on October 12, 2014 in Oklahoma City. Johnny was born on May 21, 1926 in Atwood, OK to Levy and Virgie Belle (Todd) Rayburn. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. After retiring from OG&E in 1987 he enjoyed playing golf, bowling and traveling with the Putnam City Retired Teachers Travel Club.
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years Verna Ruth, daughter Cathy Childress and husband Don, son Mike Rayburn and wife Dayna, three grandchildren, Tiffany DeLong and husband Mike, Alyssa Rayburn and Joey Rayburn and two great-grandchildren, Mackinzie and Avery DeLong.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel with interment at Sunny Lane Cemetery. Condolences may be offered at www.eisenhourfuneral.com
