

Harold “Dave” David Lockhart went to be with his wife, Mary, on May 26, 2026 at the age of 85. He was born in Lavalette, West Virginia on May 25, 1941 to Lorenzo Dow Lockhart and Hattie Mae (Billups) Lockhart. Because of his love of flying, right after high school, Dave joined the United States Air Force. He served for 21 years and retired as a Master Sergeant in 1980. After retiring with the Air Force, Dave worked at Tinker Air Force Base for an additional 21 years as a civil servant in many different capacities.
While stationed at Bunker Hill Air Force Base in Peru, Indiana, he met his future wife, Mary Singer, on a blind date, and they married in 1960. They were married for 62 years until Mary’s passing in 2022. Together they had two sons, David and Kenny. They lived all over the United States together as a family until they settled in Oklahoma in 1978.
Dave had a lifelong passion for airplanes. He built and flew his own RC aircraft, and eventually he fulfilled his dream of getting his Pilot’s License as well as owning his own airplane. Also, he loved to travel the country with Mary on his motorcycle, as well as in their motor home with their dogs.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lockhart; his parents, Lorenzo and Hattie Lockhart; and several of his siblings.
He is survived by his sons, David (wife Lori) and Kenny (wife Kathy); six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters.
Harold was very much loved by all of his family and friends, as well as his extended family at Brookdale Senior Living Center in Norman, OK.
Visitation for Dave will be from 4-8pm Monday, June 1, 2026 with family present from 4-6pm at Bill Eisenhour at Sunny Lane Funeral Home, located at 4000 SE 29th St. Del City, OK. The funeral service will be at 2pm Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at the same location. Following the service, military honors will be held at Dave's final resting place, which is in the mausoleum at Arlington Memory Gardens in Oklahoma City.
