Joe Samuel, 71, passed away on December 19, 2015 in Talihina, OK. He was born on August 13, 1944 in Broken Bow, OK to Joel and Edna (McClure) Samuel. He was a graduate of Central High School of Oklahoma City. Joe served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era.
Joe was affectionately known as a “Sweet Man” had a deep commitment to his faith and to his family. He used his gift of hospitality in many family gatherings throughout his life. He was a generous and caring person who enjoyed cooking, especially his chili, and long nature walks. Several years ago, he relocated to Talihina, OK from Oklahoma City to safely enjoy the beautiful countryside and landscapes. He loved attending his nieces and nephews birthday parties, playing dominoes and marble games.
Joe is survived by his sisters, Cornelia Grose, Edith Yahola, Noami Foster, Emily Davis; brother, James Richard Samuels and many nieces, and nephews with a host of relatives and friends. The family expresses many thanks to Talihina Veteran Center and Choctaw Nation for all their care of their love one Joe.
