

Kenly Ray Mulenex, age 89, of Oklahoma City, OK entered eternal rest on Saturday, August 26, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love and strength. He was born on August 31, 1933 in Eufaula, OK to John Henry and Susan Anna (Morse) Mulenex. He attended Wichita State University and Oscar Rose State College, but also continued to educate himself for the rest of his life by getting multiple licenses and certifications to do with the FAA and aeronautics. He served in the United States Air Force, and traveled all around the world. He loved airplanes, and would build and fly radio controlled planes. He received numerous military certifications, awards and achievements during his career. He retired from the USAF in 1972 after serving for 22 years and began his 19 year Civil Service career at Tinker AFB. He married Bonnie Lee Bobb on August 27, 1955, and they were married 62 years until her passing in 2017.
Kenly loved staying actively busy enjoying many hobbies to include gardening, working on his property, his tractors, and investing in collectibles. He loved eating breakfast at Waffle House. His true love was spending time with his family and his dogs; he had a soft spot especially for babies and animals. He taught his family about love, integrity, values, morals, and to be unprejudiced. He also loved helping people. He was a loving family man, animal lover, a patriotic man, and loved lifelong learning. He was the Crew Chief of the USAF Thunderbirds, a 32nd degree Mason, a Shriner, member of a tractor club, loved square dancing with his wife, flying twin engine airplanes, and was also on a bowling league at one point.
He is preceded in death by his parents John Henry and Susie Anna Mulenex; wife Bonnie Lee (Bobb) Mulenex; brother Royce Mulenex; daughter Linda Diane Mulenex; and grandchild Kaycie Means.
He is survived by his children Denton Ray Mulenex, Sharon Rae Medearis (husband Harry), and Toni Lee Means (husband John); grandchildren Denise Mulenex, Denita Clendenin, Dale Hutchinson, Amanda Blalack, Jennifer Mulenex, Amber Orth, Lisa Means, Eric Means, Kenly Medearis; great-grandchildren Victoria Baumun, Mackenzie Mulenex-White, Vanessa Baumun, Elsha Gonzales-Hutchinson, Vahla Rakelle Baumun, Samantha Blalack, Levi Blalack, Max Blalack, Jacob Blalack, Alexandra Blalack; Wyatt Craig; and two great-great-grandchildren Zaylee Baumun and Ameila Vergara. Brother Keith Mulenex; sister Gale Y. Jacobson, and many family and friends.
Memorial donations may be made in Kenly's honor to causes very dear to his heart, the Wounded Warrior Project and the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
