

Leroy Hall, 77, of Midwest City, OK passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on November 8th, 2006. He was born to George and Nettie Hall on February 13, 1929 in Atoka County, OK. Leroy was a musician from an early age. As a young man, Leroy played country music with various bands, along with his brother Arvel Hall, and played venues throughout Oklahoma and Texas, and had weekly radio and television shows.
Leroy moved to Oklahoma City in 1956, and worked and owned his own service station. After retirement from Target Corporation in 1982, Leroy picked up his guitar once again and the music has been playing for the last 20 years. He played with various country bands, then created his very own “Leroy and the Boys” band that has continued to perform country swing music that has delighted senior citizens throughout the Midwest City and surrounding areas.
Leroy loved to spend time with family and enjoyed family gatherings and reunions where he sang, played music, and encouraged everyone to sing along. He also enjoyed the great outdoors. His love of fishing and camping kept him happy and content with life. Leroy was a member of Exchange Avenue Baptist Church for the past 48 years.
Leroy was preceded in death by his parents, George and Nettie Hall, sister Leoma Dollar, and brother Jim Hall. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Wanda Hall; his son Michael Hall and wife Vicki of Midwest City, OK; his son Todd Hall and partner Harold Fontenot of Potomac Falls, VA; his daughter Marisa Kolar and husband Ron of McKinney, TX; his grandchildren Tara Bryan and husband Ben of Ashburn, VA; Chad Kolar of Dallas, TX; Aaron Hall and wife Kenda of Moore, OK; Kamber Mabie and husband Joe of Midwest City, OK; along with 7 great grandchildren; Brothers Lunsford Hall and wife Juanita of Idabel, OK; Arvel Hall of Atoka, OK; George Hall and wife Eva of Atoka, OK; Sisters Bonnie Crane and husband Lloyd of Garland, TX; Olive Nuttall and husband Paul, of Dierks, AR; Irene Warman and husband Art of Canon City, CO; Sister-in-law Goldie Hall of Atoka, OK; numerous nieces and nephews, along with other family members and many beloved friends.
