Martha Jane Thompson

Martha Thompson, 88, entered into the arms of her Lord and Savior “in the twinkling of an eye” on Dec. 13, 2012. She was born to Charlie and Becky Giddens in Garvin, OK on Feb. 8, 1924. She was married to her life-long love, J D Thompson, for 68 years. She loved her family, working in her flower garden and vegetable garden. But most of all, she loved her Lord Jesus Christ whom she served most of her life. She was a member of New Life Assembly of God Church. Martha was preceded in death by her parents, one son Jackie D Thompson, one grandson and two sisters. She is survived by her husband of the home, two sons: James Thompson and wife Kay of Shawnee, Arlie Thompson and wife Kay of Norman; and one daughter Janice G Hensley and husband Roger of Moore; one grandson Keith Thompson, who stayed with Grandma and Grandpa much of his young life. She had nine other grandchildren who were also very special to her, 13 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren, and many other extended family members and friends. Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14, 2012 at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, Del City, OK. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday December 15, 2012 at New Life Assembly of God Church, 4121 S.E. 59th, Oklahoma City, OK.
