Melva (Thompson) Noakes was born on June 26, 1951, to Juanita Hill and Melvin Thompson. She dedicated her life to caring for others, from the children in her daycare to the seniors in her retirement communities. Over the decades, she filled many roles - daycare owner, foster parent, author, church leader, and senior living director. She was always focused on serving others.
Melva was happily married to Warren Lee Noakes for 55 years and the devoted mother of Shamra and Brett. She loved nothing more than spending time with her grandchildren, coloring and drawing, reading books, and playing Hot Wheels.
Melva was preceded in death by her parents, Juanita, Melvin, stepmother Ruth, and stepfather Frank, and her brother Gary. Melva leaves behind husband Warren, children Shamra (Jason) and Brett (Melissa), grandchildren, Emma, Laci, Samuel, Addie, Caden, and Tanner, and great-grandchildren, Shepard, Ruth, and Wren.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 10:00 am with burial to follow.
Serving as pallbearers are Brett Noakes, Caden Noakes, Tanner Noakes, Samuel Gibson, Corbett Woods and Colby Woods.
