Mildred June Hicks

Mildred June Hicks, 91, passed away August 31, 2016 in Norman, Oklahoma. She was born June 30, 1925 to James Jesse and Nancy Nola (Hooper) Boshears in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. She enjoyed collecting dolls, playing cards, games, watching golf, and taking occasional trips to the casino.

Mildred was a member of a doll club and miniature doll house club. She was preceded by her parents, first husband, James W. Brown; second husband, Lavern Hicks; daughter, Carla Sue Robertson; siblings, Melba Adkins, Mae Dalley, Jesse Ray “J.R.” Boshears, Irma lee Huckstep.

Survivors include her children, Nancy Robertson and husband, Ronny, Marva Charlton, Michael Brown and wife, Marqueta; grandchildren, Duane Robertson, Lisa Thomas and husband, Steve, Dallas Robertson and wife, Lisa, Scott Charlton and wife, Robin, Traci Brown and Companion Richard White, Brandy Hamby and husband, Greg, Michael J. Brown and wife, Sarah, Christy Heisey and husband, Matt, Casey Stuessy and husband, Kevin, Matthew Winders and wife, Misty, Stacey Winders; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 10, 2016, at the Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel, Del City, Oklahoma, with inurnment to follow at Arlington Memory Gardens in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
