Nancy Mary Ann Morgan was born October 17, 1934 at the Norwegian Hospital in Brooklyn, New York to Thorvald August and Alma Helene Mydland. She passed from this life on March 10, 2017, in Oklahoma City at the age of 82 years, 4 months, and 21 days. Nancy enjoyed reading, playing solitaire and poker and collecting coins. She loved to shop and most of all; spend time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren. Nancy was a veteran of the United States Navy, having trained as a Communications Technician onboard the USS Recruit TDE-1. Nancy loved to tell that she was assigned to the USS Neversail, which was the nickname affectionately given to the USS Recruit due to its landlocked status. She also had worked as a US Customs Inspector for 20 years. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; and son, Roger Morgan Sr. She is survived by her grandson, Roger Morgan, Jr., and wife Katrina; great-grandchildren Lydia Mae Morgan and Roger Alan Morgan. A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Acension Lutheran Church, 3617 SE 29th Street Del City, OK 73115 with interment to follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
