Norman Ray Bourland

Norman was born on February 24, 1951, in Seattle, Washington, to Doris Elaine and Donald Ray Bourland. He grew up with a strong sense of family and faith that remained with him throughout his life. On January 9, 1973, he married the love of his life, Sheri Lee Bourland. Together, they built a life centered on love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to one another.

Norman retired from Midwest Trophy, where he was known for his hard work and dedication. Outside of his career, his greatest passion was fishing. He cherished every opportunity to be out on the water, finding peace and joy in those moments. When it became more difficult for him to go on his own, he was especially grateful for the companionship and support of his dear friends David and Mike, who made sure he could continue doing what he loved.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Doris Elaine Baker and Donald Ray Bourland, and his mother-in-law, Marilyn Diane Allen.

Norman is survived by his loving wife, Sheri Lee Bourland; his daughters, Nina Bourland and her partner Holly Gardner, and Pamela Ray Roper and her husband Mark Roper. He leaves behind a large and cherished family of grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Tessa Wadley and her fiancé Johnny Rowley; Gavin Wadley; Cameron Wadley; Victoria Bourland and her partner Alice; Lipzy Bourland; Josi Bourland; Contessa Bourland; Jesiah Bourland; Sophia Gonzales; Kaleb Roper; Kyle Roper; Kolby Norman Ray Bourland and his fiancée Grace Wade, along with their children, Charles Norman Ray Bourland and Arlo Wayne; and one great-grandchild expected in September.

As an only child, Norman embraced his wife’s siblings as his own, forming deep bonds and loving them dearly.

Norman will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his love of the outdoors, and the quiet strength and kindness he showed throughout his life. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
