VET. Richard C. "Dick" Jennings, 77, of Midwest City, passed away April 6, 2018. He was born March 7, 1941 in Littleton, Colorado. He had lived in Midwest City since 1974. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of the DAV, American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was also a faithful contributor to the Wounded Warrior Foundation. Richard was employed by Rose State College as a VA coordinator for education benefits. He retired after 24 years of service. He was Methodist by faith. Richard loved sports and was also the world’s biggest Red Sox fan and was very knowledgeable of their history. He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Fern Jennings. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Sheila Jennings of the home; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Jack Hoy of Mississippi; nephew Danny Klein and wife Lisa also of Mississippi; brothers-in-law, Ken Stringer and Harry Woodall and wife Barbara, all of England; nephews, Sean Stringer and family, Christopher Woodall and family and Stephen Woodall and family also all of England and Graham Stringer and family of Australia. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 10, 2018 from noon to 8pm and Wednesday, April 11, 2018 from 8am to 5pm. On behalf of Dick’s wishes, he chose not to have a formal service.
