

One of Bob's major accomplishments while serving was that he helped establish and set up "Ranger School", which provided additional training and expertise of survival skills for paratroopers on foreign soil.
Bob received many awards while in the military, but especially meaningful to him was a letter of recognition and appreciation from a Korean church honoring him for mobilizing both men and their vehicles for assistance and construction of the church facility.
To Bob's family, his biggest accomplishments in life were that he was a wonderful, honorable, and loving man, both to his family and to anyone he met throughout his life.
His many names that he was known by are Bob, Honey, Dad, Grandpa, Grandpa Bob, Pops, Brother, & Uncle Bob.

Born August 15, 1926 in Richton, MS.
Died September 16, 2014.
Bob Retired United States Army.
Retired from Federal Reserve Bank of Oklahoma City, OK.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Sr. and Pearlie Hinton of MS; sons, Tim & Chris Hinton, and Carlton Boyd.
Bob is survived by his wife, Lenda Peller Hinton; sister, Eugenia Walley; sons, Edward Hinton & Clifford Boyd; 10 grandchildren & 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Sunny Lane Funeral Home Friday, September 19th, 9:00am to 8:00pm. Funeral Services will be at Sunny Lane Funeral Home Saturday, September 20th, 2:00p, with burial to follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
