The leaves of time fall one by one...

The legacy we leave our children and grandchildren is not fame orfortune, but the values and beliefs that we pass onto our children.  They impact for generations to come in ways we can't know. My grandmother had a strong faith in God and that is her true gift to everyone. It cannot rust, nor be burned, nor rot away.  Thank you Grandma.

I never relized how much this would hurt. You became a focus of my world. I praise God for allowing me to grow closer to Him and you through your last year. I love and miss you. Thanks for praying for me.

On behalf of the entire Sale family, we feel as if we have lost one of our own.  Our love to all of you. We hope that warm and loving memories will bring you some comfort.

Hug goes out to my Mom, Aunts and cousins. Grandma will always be missed just like I still miss Grandpa after all these years. What makes it easier is the good memories.

My grandmother had the charisma of a hollywood actress.  I could feel her presence as soon as we walked in her door and before we even saw her face. As a child, I was in awe of her strength of character.  I am proud to be of her legacy, lucky to have her beautiful blue eyes, sad she is gone but happy we even got to know her.  RIP Grandma Pickard.

When I married Frank Pickard in 1975 Ruby immediately became my aunt and welcomed me into the family. She was always so nurturing and sweet to me and our family. My deepest condolences go out to Karen, Pat, Dawn and Beth and their families. She touched my life and I will never forget her kindness and spirit.

I have great childhood memories of visiting my Great Aunt Ruby, my Great Uncle Charlie and the rest of the family at reunions in Durango and Tuttle. She was a wonderful lady and will be greatly missed. Although I couldn't make it to Oklahoma for the service today, my thoughts and prayers are with my cousins Karen, Kayla and the rest of the family there in Oklahoma.

Dear Ruby,

    We wish you a happy re-joining with your husband. I remember the time when he was still in the US Army, we picked him up at the airport and brought him to visit your daughter in Pennsylvania.

My thoughts will be with you tomorrow when you are all together for the funeral.  My condolences to all of Ruby's loving family.  She was my sister-in-law.  Seeing her photos here brings back lots of fond memories.

To Aunt Ruby- Your family in Michigan will miss you.  We loved you dearly even though we lived so many miles away .  We will never forget the times we spent together in Tennessee.  I (Bev) will never forget the times we spent with her and Uncle Charles when I and my brother Tommy had the measles and she helped us and our Mom through those years when our Dad was in the service. We will never forget those Blue eyes we all seem to share--lots of love from Cricket's family

There are many thoughts and memories running through my head.  My earliest memories of my Grandmother was when I was three.  My Grandmother could influence a room full of people.  She was the take charge kind of person and was not afraid of anyone or anything.  She worked hard and loved everyone around her.  Grandma I will miss you.  I hope you and Grandpa found some pinochle buddies to play with.  Love you always!

Sometimes people touch our lives so profoundly that we're changed forever.  I was fortunate to have Aunt Ruby there for my entire life.  Her influence molded and shaped me into the person I am today.  I was lucky.  Whatever I have accomplished as a father, a husband, a professional academic, or as a man can be traced back to how wonderfully Ruby influenced my life. Her passing also marks the end of an era that was defined by the generation that included my father, my mother and my Uncle Charles.  Rest in peace, Aunt Ruby ... well, on second thought, take charge up there the same way you did down here.  The angels in heaven will never be the same with you around.

To Aunt Ruby's family, Pat, Dawn, Karen, and Beth, We are so sorry to hear about Aunt Ruby. I loved her dearly even though I did not get to see her again after mom(Cricket) and I visited. I will miss talking to her on the phone. She was our family historian. Take care and please keep in touch.
