Trena Renee Smith, 46, passed away on November 20, 2011. She was born March 30, 1965 in Charlotte, NC to Benny Joe and Margaret Ruth (Matheson) Smith. Trena was a very caring person, always surprising her friends with gifts. She enjoyed chatting with friends on the computer, and wearing her turquoise jewelry. Trena is survived by her parents, Joe and Margaret Smith; son, Jonathan Smith; brother, Kevin Smith; Rowdy, her African Grey Parrot; and a host of friends who will miss her dearly. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 25, 2011 at the Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
