Verna Belle Evans died May 9, 2011 in Jones, OK. She was born September 23, 2011 in Davis, OK, to H.C. and Mattie Haley. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and dear friend to many. She will truly be missed and remembered always in our hearts. Verna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jan Carl Evans; son, Victor Elder; two sisters, Ethel Hall and Bertha McGarvey; four brothers, Oletis, Earl, Elden and Murphy Haley. Survivors include a brother, Truman Haley of Mustang, OK; son, Don Elder and wife, Hazel, of Luther; five grandchildren: Kristy Reynolds and husband, Michael, of Marlow; Kim Scott and husband, Jonathan, of Marlow; Casey Cleveland and wife, Lyndsey, of Midwest City; Cody Cleveland and wife, Brittney, of Moore; and Corey Elder of Luther; five great grandchildren: Kadin Gurney, Austin Reynolds, Emmalee Cleveland, Christian Williams and Katelyn Reynolds. Her funeral service will be at 10:00 am, Friday, May 13, 2011 at the Sunny Lane Chapel with interment at 1:00 pm at the Green Hill Cemetery in Davis, OK.
