Vic was born November 26, 1937 and died March 30, 2019. Vic was born in Alva, Oklahoma in their home on Barnes Avenue. He grew up in Wichita, Kansas where he attended school and met the love of his life Marcy. Vic and Marcy were married September 24, 1960 and they also lived in St. Louis, Drummondville Quebec, Canada, Milwaukee and West Bend, Wisconsin before moving to Oklahoma City in 1975.
Vic was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Irene Vickers; brothers, Max, Donald, and Larry; and son Craig Vickers.
Vic is survived by his wife, Marcy of the home; son Jeffrey, Yukon, OK (wife Tammie); granddaughter Jennifer Hinsperger (husband Adam); great-grandson Aiden Hinsperger, Yukon, OK; brother Norman, Wichita, KS; and several nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
Vic served in the Kansas Air National Guard for 10 years and after working at several other jobs around the country, he started his own company here in Oklahoma City, Handymen R’ Us, Inc. over 25 years ago. Handymen is now run by Jeff. Vic used to say that when he started the Company, it was only him and it should have been called Handyman is Me. Vic enjoyed golf and had 2 Holes-In-One. Vic also enjoyed singing in the church choir wherever they attended.
The family would especially like to thank Dr. Nassar Janbay and his nurse Anita for several years of compassionate care and treatment.
