Claire Marie Goudeau

DELCAMBRE – Funeral Services will be conducted for Claire Marie Goudeau, age 12, at 10:00 am Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Evangeline Funeral Home with Pastor Wanda Rousse officiating. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Lake Mausoleum.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Friday. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Saturday until service time.

A native of Abbeville and resident of Delcambre, Claire passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at 4:26am at Children’s Hospital New Orleans.

Claire was a special angel, affectionately known as “Claire Bear” and “Sunshine Girl”. She enjoyed watching Barney and eating popcorn. She was very friendly and loved to give hugs to her family, nurses and caregivers. Her smile was sure to light up the room and will never be forgotten.

She is survived by her parents, Mark and Jennifer Lange Goudeau of Delcambre; one brother, Treg Goudeau of Delcambre; maternal grandmother, Geraldine Lange of Erath; Paternal Grandfather, Murry Goudeau, Jr. and his wife Julia of Marksville and Paternal Grandmother, Jane Mulheron and her husband Mike of Erath.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Willie McCloskey.

Pallbearers will be Curt Goudeau, Francis Mulheron, Cindy Goudeau and Nathan Mulheron. Claire’s godmother, Doddie Lange will serve as honorary pallbearer.

The family would like to thank her caregivers and providers, Lois Thomas, Susan Johnson and Cynthia Joe.
