Todd Paul Mitchell

DELCAMBRE – Funeral Services will be conducted for Todd Paul Mitchell, age 51, at 10:00 am Monday, October 20, 2014 at Evangeline Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Wells officiating. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Lake Mausoleum.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm Sunday until service time on Monday. The funeral home will remain open all night.

A native and resident of Delcambre, Todd passed away at 7:37 pm on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at his residence.

Todd was a 1981 graduate of Delcambre High School and graduated from USL with a Business degree.

He served as the Delcambre Shrimp Festival King in 2004. Todd was a longtime employee of Delcambre Seafood Market and currently the Manager of Gulf Crown Seafood for the last 18 years.

When Todd was not working he enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his family and friends who will miss him dearly.

Todd is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Rhonda Desormeaux Mitchell of Delcambre; two sons, Jordy Mitchell of Lake Charles and Garth Mitchell of Maurice; one daughter, Mindi Mitchell of Maurice; one step daughter, Victoria Lumpkin of Delcambre; his parents, Hamilton and Leona Broussard Mitchell of Delcambre; one brother, Timmy Mitchell and wife Glenna of Delcambre and one sister, Tammy M. Broussard and husband Ricky of Erath.

Todd is also survived by his mother in law, Ruth Laviolette Desormeaux of Erath; three sisters in law, Ramona Landry of Abbeville; Jennifer Broussard and husband Jimmy of Erath and Natasha Willis of Abbeville and one brother in law, Gardy Desormeaux of Maurice and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Pallbearers will be Jordy Mitchell, Garth Mitchell, Jimmy Broussard, Gannon Broussard, Scotty Mitchell and Rosario “Havier” Baez.

Honorary pallbearers will be Timmy Mitchell, Gardy Desormeaux, Ricky Broussard, Noah Perry and Jesus “Chewy” Aldana.
