Vergie Guidry Landry

DELCAMBRE – Graveside Services will be conducted for Mrs. Preston Armond Landry, the former Vergie Guidry, age 86, at 2:00pm Monday, September 2, 2013 at Migues Cemetery with Fr. Nathan Comeaux officiating.

A native of Kaplan and resident of Delcambre, Mrs. Landry passed away at 9:52 pm on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Abbeville General Hospital.

She is survived by two daughters, Vicki L. Martin and husband Donald of Delcambre and Rockell Landry of Kirkland, WA; three sons, Dana R. Landry and wife Irene of Long Beach, CA; Kevin Landry of New York, NY and Windell Landry and wife Tara of Baton Rouge; daughter in law, Shirley Landry of Delcambre; five grandchildren, Travis D. Martin and wife Kourie, Bryson W. Martin, Spencer P. Landry, Rhett Landry and Jamie Saunier and husband “TJ”; four great grandchildren, Colt and Rogan Saunier, Talen Martin and Preston Lane Martin and one sister, Shirley Guidry of Erath.

The family would like to express their gratitude to her caregiver, Marie Reaux.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Preston Armond Landry; step son, Kermit Landry; parents, Remy and Leonore Hebert Guidry; three brothers, Paul Dallas, Hanson and Woodrow Guidry and three sisters, Maybel, Verna and Ella Jeanne Guidry.
