

David completed his medical residency at Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, DC. He served in the army in the medical corps as a physician until his honorable discharge in 1967. He then moved to Westchester, NY, where he had a thriving private practice, served as the physician for the police and firemen of Yonkers, and was the director of the nursing home at St. John’s Riverside Hospital. He and his wife, Sydney, moved to Florida in 2007, where he continued to practice medicine. They continued their active life traveling, dancing, spending time with friends and playing tennis, golf, canasta and bridge.
David was the cherished husband for 49 years of Sydney, proud father of children Ruth Lee, Amy Grief and late husband Stuart Grief, Lauren Kosarin and husband Danny Kosarin, Nancy Goler and wife Kelley Berg, devoted grandfather to Jordan Grief and wife Kaitlin Mora, Brooke Grief and husband Lucas Caretta, Henry Hirsch and wife Julie Hirsch, Perry Hirsch, Jack Hirsch, Kira Kosarin and husband Max Chester, and loving great grandfather to Chloe Hirsch.
His presence, love, humor, and warm hugs will be missed by all.
Donations can be made in his memory to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer’s Association.
A funeral service will be held at Riverside-Stanetsky Memorial Chapels, located at 7205 West Atlantic Ave, Delray Beach, FL 33446, United States. The service is scheduled for August 17, 2025, from 11:00 am to 11:45 am.
