We are so sorry to hear about the loss of your mother.  Losing a mother is just  so difficult.  At least she made it to be 100. I remember the day you were so excited about the celebration and the acknowledgment from our President! How many people can ever witness that!  I know you will miss her and I know what a good and loving son you were. She was lucky to have you in her life all these years on earth.  May she rest I peace. My Aunt Gertrude was a one-of-a-kind lady.  She was smart, witty and very resilient.  She dealt with adversities with grace.  I loved hearing her stories about days past.  She was a lady that was admired and respected by all.

Seeing Aunt Gertrude at her 100th-birthday party reminded me of all her wonderful qualities: fun, feisty, independent-minded and blessed with the world's most infectious laugh. She was a proud and patriotic American, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and a wonderful sister. Long will Gertrude live in beloved memory.
