Herbert Seltman

Dr. Herbert K Seltman of Delray Beach , Florida passed away November 25, 2023, just six days shy of his 94th birthday. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Eleanor Krutel Seltman and his three children Marc Seltman (Sharon), Dori Rubin (Michael), and Tami Seltman; his four grandchildren Josh Rubin(Lindsey), Daniel Rubin (Elizabeth), Whitney Seltman Kooden (Ross) and Jacob Seltman; and his three great-grand children Lucy Kooden, Juliette Rubin and Mila Rubin; and most importantly his four-legged baby boy Kaito. He was the patriarch of the family and the beloved “Uncle Herbie “ to his niece Nanci O’Hara (Jack), nephews, Keith Rosen (Eve, children Ariel and Brandon), and Kevin Rosen (Lori, children Cory and Alyssa), Paul Seltman (Jeanne, children Mia and Karenna) and Scott Seltman and son Jacob. He is pre-deceased by his parents, Alex and Sarah Seltman, sister Flora Rosen and Dr. Morton Seltman (Barbara).

He was born December 1st, 1929 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania before settling down in Miami, Florida in 1945. He practiced optometry for over 50 years and was a dedicated professional to all of his patients. He loved tennis, watching sports, and more than anything he loved being surrounded by his devoted family. He loved to offer advice to family, friends and all loved ones. There was nothing more important to him than his family. His legacy of family values, humor, and joy for life will continue to live on through his family

Funeral will be on 11/27/23 at 12:30 pm, at Lakeside Memorial Park, 10301 NW 25th Street, Miami, FL 33172

Shiva following the service at 5 p.m. at the home of Dori and Michael Rubin, 11084 Via Amalfi, Boynton Beach, FL, 33437

Shiva will also be observed Tuesday 11/28 and Wednesday 11/29 at 6 pm at the Rubin Residence, same address
