Joseph was born Thursday, September 22, 1938 in Tullahoma, Tennessee to James Earnest & Dosha Ann (Waye) McDaniel. He served his country in the United States Army from April of 1961 to December of 1979 and retired honorably as a Lieutenant Colonel. He was a member of the VFW Post 7873 in Pottsboro.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by one son, Joseph McDaniel, Jr. & wife Caroline of Dallas.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Lakeway Methodist Church in Pottsboro with a Celebration of his life to follow at 3:30 PM at the VFW Post 7873 in Pottsboro. He will then be buried in the Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia on Monday, September 29, 2014 at 1:00 PM.
