Juanita Marilyn Garner

The family will be at Bratcher Funeral Home for visitation from 6 – 8 P.M., Wednesday, October 5, 2011.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, October 6, 2011 at Parkside Baptist Church, 301 N. Lillis Lane, Denison, Texas, with Dr. Chet Haney officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarlawn Memorial Park, 5805 Texoma Parkway, Sherman, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Todd Garner, Toby Garner, Trevor McIntosh, Clay Garner, Jim Deaton and James Ballard. Honorary pallbearer will be Scott Garner.

Juanita was born April 18, 1923 in Maypearl, Texas, the daughter of Willis M. Ballard & Willie Maye Ellis Ballard. She married Clark Garner in Dallas, Texas on May 3, 1941 and he preceded her in death on April 9, 1993.

She was a homemaker; a member of Parkside Baptist Church in Denison for many years; president of Houston PTA, McDaniel Jr. High PTA, Denison High PTA; a pink lady at Texoma Medical Center; member of Toastmistress Club; and the family historian.

She is survived by sons Clark Richard Garner & wife Judy of Denison, James “Jim” Leonard Garner & wife Mary Ann of Eagle Mt. Lake, TX; grandchildren Patricia Lynn McIntosh, Todd Richard Garner, Clay Garner, Scott Garner; great-grandchildren Tiffany Ashlyn Garner, Nicole Alexandra McIntosh, Taylor Allison Garner, Toby Austin Garner, Trevor Todd McIntosh, Jack Andrew Garner; great-great-grandchild Addison Taylor Jackson.
