Maxine Frieda Odom

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, August 27, 2011 at Chapel On The Hill, Cedarlawn Memorial Park, 5805 Texoma Parkway, Sherman, TX 75090, with Jerry Spradling officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarlawn Memorial Park.

Maxine was born December 4, 1934 in Hawarden, Iowa, the daughter of Nicholas Wendel & Frieda N. Strauss. She was of the Lutheran faith; worked for Nabisco for 9 years; worked for Great Western Sugar Beet Factory in Goodland, Kansas for 10 years; loved her grandkids; loved working in her garden, the outdoors and her dogs and cats.

She is survived by husband Jack of Denison; sons Michael Wayne Odom & wife Debra of Wilsonville, OR, Steven Mark Odom & wife Patty of Ontario, CA; daughters Lori Lacy & husband Jay of Pottsboro, TX, Sharon Kay Basgall of Pittsburg, PA, Vickie Lynn Suffal & husband Mark of Broken Arrow, OK; brother John Wendel of Atlanta, GA; sister Dorothy Skagman of Hawarden, IA; grandchildren Matt Suffal, Trevor Suffal, Nicole Booher, Brittney Lacy, Ryan Odom, Troy Basgall; great-grandchild Brooklyn Suffal.
