Myrtle Martin Earnhart

The family will be at Bratcher Funeral Home for visitation from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m., Friday, June 19, 2015.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Bratcher Funeral Home Chapel with Horace Groff officiating.

Pallbearers will be Royce Anderson, Graylen Malear, Jerry Lazenby, Jeremy Householder, Rodney Shaul and Ronald Bassermann.

Myrtle was born Wednesday, August 12, 1936 in Denison, Texas, the daughter of Joe Martin and Ruby L. Coble Martin. She married Thomas K. Earnhart June 5, 1954 at Messenger Chapel Methodist Church at Carpenter Bluff in Denison.

She was a beautician in her early years; worked for DISD cafeteria; helped at building their home; traveled with Thomas for 20 years on bus tours; was a navigator, negotiator and would chew your butt out when needed; helped with cemetery and community building at Oakridge; decorated cakes for kids and grandkids and she loved her church.

Myrtle is survived by her husband Thomas K. Earnhart; son Thomas Glen & wife Paula; daughter Cindy Whittington & husband Dana; son Terry Joe; grandchildren: Sammy Earnhart & wife Karee, Natalie Stanford & husband Michael, Jeff Whittington, Kayla Stanford & husband Donald, Terry Ann Earnhart; great-grandchildren: Alison Paige Earnhart, Cayden Tyler Earnhart, Emily Niclole Stanford, Howard Blaine Stanford and sister Mary Ann Nichols.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Douglas Martin.
