Family visitation will be,6:00 PM to 7:00 PM Monday, September 8, 2014 at Bratcher Funeral Home in Denison

Graveside services will be, 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Bells, TX with his grandson Clinton Neal officiating and Full Military Honors performed by the Ft. Hood Honor Guard.

Richard was born Friday, March 29, 1929 to Chester & Lucinda (Walden) Carnagey. He was one of 8 children. He married Elisabeth Semeins on February 28, 1955. He served his country for 24 years and retired from the United States Army as a Master Sergeant, serving two tours in Vietnam as a Green Beret in Special Forces receiving a Bronze Star for his meritorious service. He was a member of the American Legion and Amvets.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 5 brothers; 2 sisters and his son, Chester E. Carnagey.

He is survived by his wife Elisabeth Carnagey of Denison; daughter Lucinda Carnagey of Denison; 4 grandchildren, Christina Neal of Denison, Clinton Neal & wife Kristi of Sherman, Jason Douglas of Sherman, Ryan Douglas & wife Rachel of Illinois; great-grandchildren, Chancelor Neal, Richard Neal, Elisabeth White, Kori Neal, Colton Neal and Nevaya Adams.
