Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Bratcher Funeral Home.

Graveside service will be at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Cedarlawn Memorial Park, Sherman, Texas with Jan Kelly officiating.

He attended Kemp, Oklahoma School before entering the Army. During his service he served through the Korean Conflict. He worked for the Denison School as a custodian and he loved to fish.

He survived by one Sister Polly Sweeney, two nieces Sherry Pittman and husband Ricky, Valerie Goodman and husband Joey, nephews Terry Sweeney, Tony Sweeney and wife Susan, Todd Short and wife Lisa, two great nieces Faith Goodman and Ariel Spainhour and husband Justin, one great nephew Bryan Short and wife, two great-great nephews and a host of cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Sister Jane Short and husband Butch Short, niece Candice Ross, and brother-in-law Wesley Sweeney.
