She was born in Hillsboro, Texas to Jacob Riley Nutt and Minnie (White) Nutt on January 5, 1914. She was a housewife and a life time member of the Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Hubert Owen Herod.
She is survived by longtime adopted friends Bill and Eileen Maddux.
There will be a private burial in Corsicana, Texas.
