Sue Smith Irby Wilkerson

Visitation will be 3:00PM to 5:00PM, Sunday, December 2, 2012 at Bratcher Funeral Home in Denison, TX.

Funeral Services will be 10:00AM, Monday, December 3, 2012 at Bratcher Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Chet Haney,

Parkside Baptist Preacher, officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Denison, TX.

Sue was born Friday, July 22, 1932 in Dorchester, TX to Titus Ardell & Daisy Mae (Adams) Irby. She worked as an accountant for Insurance companies for many years. She met Charley Smith her first husband when he was stationed at Perrin Field and they were married November 5, 1948. Charley passed away October 4, 2004. Sue later married John Wilkerson on January 3, 2009 and was residing in Yorktown, Texas. She was a member of Parkside Baptist Church of Denison.

She will be remembered as a terrific Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Wife, Sister, Friend, and as her daughter's best friend. She had a loving, nurturing, and generous personality and a great sense of humor. She never met a stranger and was a mentor to those in her life. Sue enjoyed life to the fullest and her heart was bigger than life itself. Her passions were traveling all over the United States and shopping for the bling, bling jewelry she loved. She loved to cook ham and black eyed peas, salmon patties, and pumpkin pie for her Grandson, Jeff. To him she was "Killer Grandmother" for keeping the wasps away as he swam in the pool.

Most of all Sue loved her family and loved worshipping God at her hometown church, Parkside Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her parents Rev. Ardell & Daisy Mae Irby; first husband Charley Smith in 2004; and sister, Doris Barrow.

She is survived by her husband, John Wilkerson of Yorktown, TX; daughter, Linda Termin & husband David of Plano, TX; one grandchild, Dr. Jeffrey Cumming & wife Leslie; three great-grandchildren, Lily, Luke & Lila Cumming; brothers, Lyndol Irby & wife Bernice of Denison, TX, Galen Irby & wife Jane of Phoenix, AZ, Weldon Irby & wife Jami of Campbell, TX, Bruce Irby & wife Kay of Ft Worth, TX; sisters, Wanda Bailey of Ft Worth, TX, Faye Francis of Paris, TX, Ruth Ward of Denison, TX.

Sue wished that donations be made to Parkside Baptist Church building fund.
