She was born Virginia Lee Hair on December 30, 1929 in Frederick, Oklahoma, and was married for 67 years to Dr. William Lee Blankenship of Denison, Texas.
She was the mother of six children, and was a housewife until her children were grown, then worked for 10 years in the Denison High School Library.
She was a member of Waples Memorial Methodist Church since 1955, and is survived by five children-Leann, Will, Dan, Joe, and Charley, ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, a sister in Dallas, and a brother in Chicago.
The family will be at the Bratcher Funeral Home in Denison on Mon. 29th from 6:00 to 7:30 P.M., and the funeral will be held on Wed. 31st at 11:00 A.M. at Waples Memorial Methodist Church in Denison.
