Charles Knox Weston (Chuck), 71, of Denver, Colorado, passed away May 5, 2013 at his home. He was born in Washington D.C. on August 4, 1941. Charles was the son of Bessie and Knox Weston. Charles graduated in 1959 from Central Dauphin High School (Harrisburg, PA) where he starred in track & field. After high school, he joined the United States Air Force and served in the Vietnam War. During his time in the Military, Charles traveled the world. He attended Metropolitan State University in the early 1980's where he earned an Associate's Degree in Marketing. In 1964, he married Dorothy Grier from New York; they remained together for a few years. Then, shortly after leaving the Military, he met Suzanne Schoonover in Denver, Colorado and together they had one child, Chad Weston. Charles spent over 30 years as a salesperson selling everything from commercial dishwashing systems to security systems and everything in-between. In his day, he could sell water to a whale and ice to an Eskimo. Charles had many interests such as flying (licensed pilot), boating (owned a boat with Suzanne), music, camping, family vacations, and holiday cheer. Charles is survived by his son Chad Weston (Cypress, CA), granddaughter Aliyah Weston (Cypress, CA), niece Charlotte Lewis (Harrisburg, PA), niece Joanne Griffin (Newark, DE), and companion Lois Britton (Denver, CO). Visitation will be held Friday, May 17 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m., his funeral service will be held Saturday, May 18th at 3:00 p.m.; both at Olinger Hampden Mortuary & Cemetery, 8600 E. Hampden Ave., Denver, CO 80231. A committal service will be held Monday, May 20 at 11:00 a.m. at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver.
